Filter bags 100pcs
There is a story about a tea importer named Thomas Sullivan, who “invented” tea bags by accident.
The story goes that he, like many other tea importers at the time, sent tea samples to his potential customers. At a time when tea was quite expensive and highly valued, he tried to reduce the cost of packing and shipping those samples. They were usually packed in metal cans. To keep costs down, one year he sent samples in sewn silk muslin bags, like little bags. Compared to cans, it was much more affordable packaging.
Many of his customers saw this package and assumed it was a new method of tea preparation, never thinking it could be a package. Therefore, they put the bags directly into the water and were delighted at how easy it was to prepare the tea and clean up afterwards. These customers would then order unusually large quantities. Sullivan sent them bulk tea as usual, and received complaints back. They wanted the tea delivered to them in the bags they received as samples. However, when he realized what the fuss was about, he started producing more packages like that.
In short, our empty filter bags (100pcs) just need to be filled with the right amount of tea of your choice, and you can then use them as you would a pre-filled bag.
They are ideal for teas with smaller leaves, such as rooibos or “broken leaf” teas such as English breakfast. They facilitate the preparation of such teas, which might pass through strainers with larger openings.
