Glass teaware seems like a thing of the modern age, but on the contrary, glass teaware is part of the ancient history of tea.

In China, production of glass teapots, cups and other equipment began a long time ago. Most likely during the reign of the Tang Dynasty. At that time, the production of tea equipment was much smaller and everything was produced in small batches. Glassware for preparing and drinking tea was considered a work of art and often  was served for artistic enjoyment.

Teapots and cups made of glass offer a design that is considered one of the most refined, modern and elegant. This glass tea cup allows observation of the color change of the liquid. Little by little, the liquid takes in shades characteristic for the type of tea being prepared. In the case of black teas, these are dark shades with a reddish glow. While in the case of green teas, they are greenish-yellowish lighter shades.
