Description
Chinese Yunnan tea
Dotted with golden buds and full of flavor are what characterize this Chinese black tea from the Yunnan province (the birthplace of tea).
Yunnan is located in a mountainous area, with high altitudes in the northwest and low altitudes in the southeast. It is rich in natural resources and has the greatest diversity of flora in China. Historically, the Southwest Silk Road to Bhitargarh in Bangladesh passed through present-day Yunnan.
All tea production areas in Yunnan are located at an altitude of 1,200m to 2,000m. Average temperatures are from 12°C to 23°C. And the monsoon coincides with the hottest months.
Compared to other major tea producers, Yunnan’s climate is more suitable for camellia sinensis. For this reason, Yunnan has excellent types of tea.
Golden Yunnan
Dianhong with less golden buds, and more dark tea leaves. It has a rich, malty, earthy and slightly sweet flavor profile, often with hints of honey and subtle spice.
