Description
Tea set “Hanako”
Porcelain teapot and four porcelain cups, hand painted.
Porcelain is one of the most famous and valued materials for making teapots and teacups. It does not retain odors from previous teas and does not affect the change of mild notes and aromas of teas such as white and green.
• CARE AND USE •
Porcelain dishes, and therefore teapots ( in this case tea set “Hanako”)should not be heated directly (on a hot plate, direct flame, etc.) First boil water in a kettle or a different material teapot, and then pour it into the porcelain teapot.
For the sake of better maintenance and longer life of porcelain dishes, it is also important that the temperature does not suddenly change from cold to warm, but it is preferable to warm the teapot slightly beforehand and only pour hot liquid afterwards. Due to a sudden change in temperature, damage and cracking may occur, which may not be immediately visible, but may become damaged and eventually crack over time. It is recommended to slowly heat the porcelain teapot with warm water, like a rinse, ie. “cleaning” of the court itself. When the previously cold teapot is heated, then hot liquid can be poured.
